My Parent's Cat

Baer Gutzman Wow What a Climb

This is a beautiful canyon and is best when you race up it with 200 other people. The path is very narrow, rocky and very steep. The branches and bushes crowd you and scrape you and make it impossible to pass. And that is only the first six miles of the race. I was able to finish in just over 3 hours, Jeff did it in 2 h 27 min the stud and my dad did just over 4 hours. I want to do this race next year and beat Jeff. I learned that I need to train harder and lose 15 pounds or so. I think I will go to the gym tomorrow, its not to soon to get back in it.

New Way to Listen to the Tunes

My old Sansa MP3 player which has been good to me for years started to become overly sensitive and with the smallest bump would crul up in the fetal position and shut down.  Since I use this thing almost everyday and mostly when I work out, I need to get a new one.  I got a Sony E Series MP3 player.  Its red and when I synic it up to my computer it comes up with the name UTEMAN instead of the old school name WALKMAN that it came named.  I upgraded from a 4 G to an 8 G so I need to go out and get some more music to fill it up, and the stuff I have is getting kind of old to me.  So if you have any good new hits, let me know.  Sorry no country will be considered.

Bair Gutsman

Now that I am done with the Wasatch Back, I have decided to run the Crazy Bob Bair Gutsman Half Marathon. This crazy run is about 4600 feet in elevation gain in the first 6 miles. They do not provide water on the way or search and rescue if you get lost. You are on your own out there in the mountains, so yeah I do feel a bit crazy for doing this. My dad found this and has gotten my brother Jeff and I to do this. Wish us luck because we are going to need it.

IT Guys Save the World One Problem at a Time

So I had a co-worker IM me the other day that the sound on her computer was not working and if I could help her when I had a free minute. I got busy and didn't get to it that day. On my way into work I get a text telling me that the sound is still not working. So I walk over to her desk and she started to play music so show me that the sound was not working. I then climbed under her desk and pushed the power supply for the speaker back into the power strip. Sound! Some days I wonder if they pay me enough for the knowledge and skills that I have.

We had a training meeting at work this week that talked about having a better team atmosphere at work. So I thought about many of the good teams that I know and what they have that make them so great. My first idea was a theme song, so since I have no musical skills at all, at all (for some reason when you repeat things people take you more seriously) I had to find one.
